Managing Director Steven White currently is the Chairman of the Instrat^® Actuarial Best Practices matrix group, which is responsible for the  development of tools and other best practices within  the Instrat Actuarial groups.  He also works with the MetaRisk^® development team.  Previously, Mr. White managed the Instrat  team in Guy Carpenter's Morristown office and supported the international  team based  in New York.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2000, Mr. White was a senior actuary and manager for Swiss Re in its Chicago and Phoenix offices, responsible for all business underwritten in his business unit. He began his insurance career with the Allstate Insurance Company at its research and planning center before transferring to the firm's reinsurance division.

Mr. White is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and has served on its Committee for Professionalism and Ethics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Brigham Young University and a Master of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
