As a Senior Vice President working in Guy Carpenter's Instrat^® unit, Richard Shaw focuses on providing solutions to various capital and risk management problems for clients.  Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and an active member of the Institute's Solvency II Committee.  Based in London, he has presented at several actuarial conferences in the UK. 

Richard has more than 20 years of experience in the actuarial, insurance and financial modeling sector. He was Capital and Risk Management Actuary at XL Insurance in London before moving to Guy Carpenter.

Richard earned a master's degree in finance from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Durham University.
