Paul Brehm is a Managing Director in the Instrat^® unit of Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc., based in Minneapolis. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Paul was with St. Paul Travelers and its predecessor companies for 22 years, most recently serving as the company's Chief Actuary. He has extensive experience in product pricing, forecasting, reserving, reinsurance, catastrophe modeling and portfolio management, as well as corporate strategy and development.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Previously, he has chaired the CAS Valuation, Finance and Investment Committee, and he was an original member of its ERM Committee. Paul has published a number of articles relating to pricing, reserving, risk transfer and financial models.
